Your family and friends will receive an email with a unique R1,500 Referee Savings promo code that can be used on any new or partially paid Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Costsaver or Contiki bookings.

Step 3

You get rewarded

  • Global Tour Rewards Referral Program: A referral program where Past Guests of TTC Tour Brands (Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver and Contiki) can become Brand Advocates and earn Advocate Credits for referring new customers who book on a Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki tour.
  • Global Tour Rewards Referral Program Participating Brands: Participating brands in the Referral Program are TTC Tour Brands, i.e., Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver and Contiki. That means a Past Guest must have travelled with one of these brands and must refer a new customer to one of these brands.
  • Brand Advocate: A Past Guest who refers a future traveller that hasn’t travelled on any Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki tour before.
  • Advocate Credit: The travel credit a Brand Advocate receives for referring a new customer once that new customer has paid for their tour in full.
  • Advocate Code: The unique code received once a Brand Advocate first earns Advocate Credits. This code must be used or quoted when the Brand Advocate is ready to book using their Advocate Credits or wants to check their Advocate Credit balance.
  • Referee: A customer who is referred to a Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki tour by a Brand Advocate. They must be a first-time traveller and not have travelled on any Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki tours .
  • Referral Savings: The savings a Referee will get when they book their first tour with Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki.

What is the Global Tour Rewards (GTR) Referral Program?

The GTR Referral Program allows a past guest of Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki to become a Brand Advocate and refer friends and family onto Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki tours to earn Advocate Credits. 

Who is eligible to be a Brand Advocate? 

Any Past Guest of Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki who is aged over 18+ years is eligible to be a Brand Advocate and refer friends or family to earn Advocate Credits. Travel Agents, TTC Employees and affiliated contractors are not eligible to participate.

How does the Global Tour Rewards Referral Program work?

It’s easy, simply enter your details above and once validated, you can add the names and email addresses of your family and friends and send Referee Savings their way, or simply copy and share a unique link with them. We will then send them an email with a unique Referee Savings promo code to use on their first booking with Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki. Once they book and pay in full, we’ll let you know you have earned Advocate Credits and assign you a unique Advocate Code. Make sure you keep your Advocate Code somewhere safe as you will need this when you want to redeem your Advocate Credits.

When will I earn my Advocate Credits?

As soon as one of your family and friends books and pays in full (provided they have not travelled on any Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki tour before) we will send you an email with the details of your earned Advocate Credit. There is a limit of one Advocate Credit earned per customer referred.

Is there a limit to the number of times I can refer?

As long as the family and friends you are referring haven’t travelled on any Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki tour before, you can refer as many times as you like. Meaning the number of Advocate Credits you can earn is limitless.

What if I earn enough Advocate Credits to pay for total price of a tour?

If you earn enough Advocate Credits to pay for the total price of a tour then congratulations Brand Advocate, you just earned yourself a free tour!

I want to refer my family and friends but they live overseas. Can I still refer them?

Yes you can still refer them. Their Referee Savings will convert to the currency of their booking, while you will still receive your Advocate Credit in the currency of your last booking.

I usually travel with one brand but the person I referred has booked another brand, will I still earn Advocate Credits?

Advocate Credits and Referee Savings can be earned across Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki. It doesn’t matter what brand you refer from or what tour or brand is subsequently booked, as soon as it is paid for in full, you will earn Advocate Credits.

I want to check my Advocate Credit balance. How do I do this?

You can check your balance by navigating to the Passenger Details page in the booking pathway and adding your Advocate Code and email address. Alternatively, you can call our Contact Centre team who can tell you your Advocate Credit balance over the phone. 

I think some of my Advocate Credits are missing. What do I do?

If you think you may be missing Advocate Credits, please check to make sure the person you referred definitely used their unique Referee Savings promo code to book. If they do not use the promo code, you will not earn Advocate Credits. If you’re still unsure, call our Contact Centre team who are on hand to assist.

How do I redeem my Advocate Credits for a new booking?

You can easily redeem your Advocate Credits online or via our Contact Centre as long as you have your email address and Advocate Code to hand. When you book online, you’ll be asked at checkout to enter your email and Advocate Code and it will ask if you’d like to apply the full balance of Advocate Credits to the booking. When you book over the phone, simply quote your email address and Advocate Code when speaking with one of our Contact Centre team members and confirm you’d like to use your Advocate Credits on the booking. Your Travel Agent can also do this for you – simply provide them with your email address and Advocate Code. 

How do I redeem my Advocate Credits for an existing booking?

To redeem your Advocate Credits for an existing booking (so long as it has not been paid in full) you must call our Contact Centre team. Simply quote your booking reference and Advocate Code and confirm you’d like to use your Advocate Credits for your booking.

What if I want to travel with the person I referred? Can we both use our credit and savings?

If you have Advocate Credits already banked and wish to travel with a customer you have just referred (providing the referee has not travelled on any Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver or Contiki tour before) then you are able to combine your Advocate Credits and the Referee Savings on the one booking. However, if you do not have any Advocate Credits banked, it will not be possible to combine the Referee Savings with your Advocate Credit or that specific referral as this is only earned after a booking is paid in full.

I want to put my Advocate Credits toward an existing booking; can I do that?

You certainly can, you can put your Advocate Credits toward a new or existing booking, so long as the booking has not yet been paid in full. 

I paid for a booking using my Advocate Credits but I had to cancel my trip. Will my Advocate Credits be reimbursed?

Reimbursement of Advocate Credits follows our standard cancellation terms. Please check the cancellation policy of your specific tour to determine if you are eligible for an Advocate Credit refund. If you are eligible, it will be returned to your Advocate Credit balance. It is not redeemable for cash.

I want to use my Advocate Credits to pay a deposit. Can I do this?

No, this is not possible. Advocate Credits cannot be used in lieu of a deposit and are not redeemable for cash. 

I want to use my Advocate Credits to pay for an Optional Experience Can I do this?

No, this is not possible. Advocate Credits are not transferrable for cash and cannot be used for any ancillary products.

Referral Program Eligibility: The Global Tour Rewards Referral Program is available to Global Tour Rewards members (guests who have travelled at least once with Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver and Contiki who are 18 years and over (“Brand Advocates”). Travel Agents, TTC Employees and affiliated contractors are not eligible to participate. 

Advocate Credits: Advocate Credits are earned in the currency of the Brand Advocate's last booking. Amounts are: $100 USD, $100 CAD, $100 AUD, £75 GBP, $100 NZD, €100 EUR, R1,500 ZAR. Advocate Credits are only earned when a referred person has not travelled on any Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver and Contiki tour and books and pays for a tour in full (either direct or via a travel agent). An Advocate Credit will be earned per new customer, even if on the same booking. There is no limit to the number of new guests a Brand Advocate can refer. Credits are valid for 24 months from the date a referee booking is paid in full and expire on a rolling basis if unused for 24 months. Brand Advocate Credits are combinable with all other savings and promotions. Credits are not redeemable for cash. 

Referee Savings: When a Referee receives notification that they have been referred by a Brand Advocate, they will receive Referee Savings to the amount of $100 USD, $100 CAD, $100 AUD, £75 GBP, $100 NZD, €100 EUR, R1,500 ZAR. The currency of the savings is based on the currency of the booking. Discount only applies for customers who have not yet travelled on any Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver and Contiki tour. Referee Savings can be redeemed on new or existing direct or travel agent bookings that have not yet been paid in full. Only one unique Referee Savings code can be used per booking, but the savings will apply to each new guest on the booking. Referee Savings are valid for 12 months from date of referral. Referee Savings are combinable with all other savings and promotions except the Global Tour Rewards Past Guest discount.

Restrictions: Advocate Credits and Referee Savings are valid only on Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver and Contiki guided tours and are not redeemable on group allocations or special group booking types. Advocate Credits can only be redeemed on tour product and cannot be used in lieu of a deposit, are not transferrable for cash and cannot be used for any ancillary products. All applicable discounts are applied sequentially; fixed savings amounts are deducted prior to applying any percentage-based discounts. Brendan Vacations only available to North American residents. Other restrictions may apply. TTC Tour Brands reserves the right to amend or terminate the Global Tour Rewards Referral Program at any time.
