Travel can change the world. We’ve supported 55 projects in 26 countries through our foundation, and it’s just the beginning. In 2020 we evolved our commitment with a five-year sustainable travel strategy.
Over a decade of positive impact
How do we make travel matter? It’s a question we asked ourselves back in 2008 that led us to create the TreadRight Foundation. The vision is simple: ensure our impact on the planet we call home, the people we visit, and the wildlife we encounter, is a positive one.
Wildlife conservation projects we support
Whether it be protecting and rehabilitating elephants or looking after big cat populations, we support leading wildlife organisations on their missions. We also educate our guests about ethical wildlife experiences while on the road.
WHY CHOOSE COSTSAVER FOR WILDLIFE & NATURE TOURS?
WILDLIFE & NATURE TOURS, YOUR WAY
Otjiwa sundowner game drive in Namibia
Picture this unforgettable moment: you’re driving through the oldest game ranch in Namibia as golden hour sends the wild grassy plains aglow. Binoculars in hand, your mission is to spot the ginormous white rhino.
Which countries offer the best nature travel experiences?
How can we protect wildlife through ecotourism?
Each continent has its own unique fauna, so you can seek out wildlife tours just about anywhere. Some favourite wildlife travel experiences include going on a safari in Kenya, exploring the jungles of Costa Rica and spotting marine life around Alaska.
For beaches, Bali and Costa Rica feel wild and untouched. For mountains, it’s hard to beat Switzerland or the Canadian Rockies. Then there are USA National Parks that offer some of the best experiences for nature tours no matter the season.
It’s simple. Don’t buy products made from endangered or protected species (like ivory), try to support conservation programs and look into the sustainability and ethics of any wildlife tours. FYI - all the experiences on our tours are regularly vetted by our team.
